I sat at McDonald's this week and had a true "AHA" moment. Abigail has such a truly sweet and polite spirit. I may sound like I am bragging (Isn't that my job as her mom though?) Quite a few of you have seen that she does have her moments like any two year old. Honestly though, for the most part she is just a delight. I am SO blessed to be her mother. I watched other toddlers biting each other, pushing, screaming and talking to their parents in such a disrespectful manner. Right at the moment I was watching multiple children terrorize the play land Abby said, "Thank you for beckfest mommy. It's nummy.. mmm.... good!" Then a minute later she said "You want bite? Try it, You'll like it." Word for word that was my sweet Abigail appreciating her pancakes and wanting to share. That is her MO to be extremely polite and to say please and thank you. I could not help but share this moment with my blogger friends. I truly feel so blessed to be given the responsibility to raise such a beautiful soul. I hope that I can be the mother that she deserves. I am also so grateful for the gospel and the lessons therein which teach me to rear my child in righteousness. I would be so lost with out it. These are the moments I want to cherish forever. These are the moments I hope to be as good of a mother to her as my mom has been to me.

52 blessings
Abigail loves going to the park. This winter was hard on her because we spent so much time couped up in our house. Every time we passed a park in the car she would pant, "Slide, please, please! MOMMY! SLIDE, PLEASE, PLEASE!" Last week we went to visit Chris' at work. We found the best Chinese food nearby with heaping servings for this preggo mama! It was also pretty affordable which made for a very happy daddy! Then we took our yummy food to the park. It was so nice to see Abigail able to maneuver the playground with out our help! I have even become so confident in her abilities that, (SUPRISE) I have stopped hoovering! I loved every moment of eating lunch outside with my handsome husband and watching my daughter run and play. I am so thankful for weather that allows us to get out of our house and have these moments together as a family!Posted by Infinite Vinyl at 3:57 PM 6 comments

How Time Has Flown By
I was looking through my pictures today and can't believe how much Abigail has grown up. It seems like just yesterday that she was this itty bitty baby. She was still wobbly on her feet the day this picture was taken. Now fast forward to the present and some things don't change. Abby is still itty bitty just in a toddler way. Yet she is old enough that we took her to her first movie this past weekend, Princess And The Frog. I was so excited to take her to her first princess movie. The countdown for it to move to the dollar theater seemed endless. It was well worth the wait to see her eyes light up and hear her chirp out, "Ribbit-Ribbit" to the frogs on screen. So as there are new experiences unfolding I wonder at how immensely I miss those precious moments of yesterday. I contemplated the same thing on how to catch up on everything I have missed since I last blogged. The conclusion I came to is, while you can miss yesterday- enjoy today before it's too late.

Casey
The words to describe her seem futile
She was more amazing
than my words can give justice too
So today I will simply say
I Miss You
I Love You
Thank You
For all you taught me
All you continue to teach me

So many bloggers
it seems everyone has become a writer.
To my honest surprise most of it is really quite good- yes this does create a snarky little fear
I am many things
I never was the columnist type.
How do I now translate my metaphorical and shrouded poetic verse style into quirky antics about my life?
I have been called many things- I don't ever recall being called charming
I log on to this world of blogging and I see daisy backgrounds with bright come hither colors telling the reader to let down all their guards. The variety of family chronicles are ensured to be soothing by the Lullaby Jack Johnson song playing at the perfect "Library Volume". The happy narratives usually go something to this effect.. "Peter used the potty for the first time and with his rosy red cheeks plumped out in pride he triumphantly proclaims, "Mommy Dearest I went wee wee like a big boy and I promise you will never have to change my diaper again!" of course Peter always keeps his word"
The blogs continue to be enticing and lovely and very charming even if it seems like it must be dream world that is shared with Meg Ryan movies, and Jane Austen Novels.
Truth be told, I adore them.
So how do I write cute anecdotes about my life when I am deeply introverted and have NEVER wrote "cutesy"
This is the true story of why I rarely blog
It's not my style of writing
I will simply write.

Some Honest Insight From Lindsay
Walt Whitman
1819-1892, American Poet
more famous quotes
Who could more eloquently say how I esteem to live my life. As this year has passed I have truly felt my life being led in a way that some of these words are a true reflection on. In ways I have faltered I wish to amend. I love the earth and even the sun (despite my usual past hatred for bright sunny days and the want of an overshadowed day of dusty rain) for it has made time for my favorite memories in Logan. Watching Chris skateboard for hours at the local skate park. The love of my life the best looking man EVER being an awesome skateboarded (which is always noticed by every female persuasion but he only seems to notices me)! He will humbly spend all his few hours of ride time teaching and practicing tricks to the young kids. I even want to keep my head out of my book or magazine as long as it takes to him to conceded to doing a one foot nose slide while taking off his other shoe for the nostalgia of the awe it caused at the first skate competition that "I was his and he was mine", How nothing and everything has changed, for now he takes Abby on a ride while everyone there laughs at the smile on her face and fear on mine. I love the walks whether it is through the neighborhood with my friends and my daughters friends where they relaxed and enjoyed their ride whether it was evenflo (thank you Needles/Price/Helper family) or Peg Prego and one of my near dear hilarious friends would state that since none of our babies weren't that old this was a work out. I would not mention just how old my baby was in comparision and being true friends neither would they. Also the reason I truly learned to LOVE the sun are for the downtown stroll with just Abigail and I, it was the reasons for us to duck inside the used book store for the AC and excuse for mom to get a good whiff of her favorite aroma of old wood compounds that make up the paper. I love the ducks at the park where I would go Jenny and my adorable Niece and Nephews where my sister was at the true empitamy of her perfection making sandwiches for each of her kids and the way they liked so they could sit on their blanket in their spot to see their Dad at his work, It was so typical West Family that when I was graciously and gratefully invited the first time they were the only family, by the time I went again only a few weeks later it had inspired a beautiful movement. If my sister did nothing else (which you all know is impossible) she would still be one of the few people in whom I aspire their greatness.
Loving the crazy is a vital one for me. I do naturally and am actually quite proud to be one myself! This is one of my favorite things about Walt Whitman is he truly admired the crazy, I have also noted that the ones I truly relate to and JUST LOVE in life have this essential thing in common. Love your crazies people!

Chris' Baptism
On the 29th Chris was baptized into the LDS church. It was such an amazing experience that we were able to share with our friends and families. It took four yes FOUR dunks to make it final! We think the Elders wanted to play a little joke and see how they could combine chris' height with low water in the baptismal font! he he! Luckily he didn't drown and my dads back will eventually recover! Both of our parents were there to share in the joy and laughter! My mother (the amazing chef) with the help of my sister Jenny and I made an incredible Mexican feast with 90 delicious turkey enchiladas with sides of rice, re fried and black beans. Chris' parents provided scrumptious homemade salsa, chips and a full sheet of cake for Abigails' one year birthday! The cake was HUGE and only a few pieces were left over! Thanks Moms and dads! So many friends and family drove the long hours, and helped with so many of the details we couldn't be more appreciative! It was so nice to have everyone show up to support Chris and it really meant so much to share such an important moment in his life with those he loves! We will get pictures up soon to share with all of those who could not make it and were truly missed! Thank you to all the support and the presents for both Chris and Abigail.
